You need a 20 lb propane tank unless you buy the adapter. This thing is so great, very easy to set up. Make sure you watch the install video on the product description it really helped me because you’ll need the included wrench. This was an automatic ignition you don’t even need a match. Keeps our ice house very warm plus you can cook on it! I’m a female, and I even figured this out in a few minutes. Kept us very warm in our small ice shack on a -10Minnesota morning. May not be ideal for a huge space. Overall, I was very happy with the purchase.It kicks off some heat! I’m trying to warm up a “well ventilated fly tying room” and it’s doing better than my kerosene heater. The room is 6x20 with high ceilings and little insulation and too much air-flow. Only day one but so far I am impressed. It could heat up a nice insulated 6x10 ice shanty real quick.I use mine in my site construction trailer and couldn't be happier. Output is pretty good for the size and I get a lot of hungry looks from the guys who come in when I am cooking up some brats or polish sausage. Can't wait to take it to the deer lease.This really screwed me as I depend on it to stay warm. This is a nice heater, but I got this Nov 27 and last night, Dec 29 my hose was began leaking at the stove. So now I have to wait for a new hose. Not even going to bother with trying to get this righted.Easy connection for quick heat. Actual propane use is minimal, so its inexpensive to use. And the cooking burner was a lifesaver at camp.I really enjoy this unit as it puts out good heat and heats water for washing at the same timeWorked great...solid unit right out the box. Thows out the heat when I need it and will brew my coffe when I need it. Love it.
