This the knife that doesn't know what category it belongs in. Its too thin to be a 'survival knife', to light to be a decent thrower, if the Military is using this knife then prepare to loose, under no circumstance would i ever rely on this knife to save my life or anyone else. I feel it would break under light use, unless your targets are paper you might be in trouble.The serrations on the back are sharp but somewhat awkward to use, the handle has sharp edges on it, and the sheath is the cheapest thing i have ever seen. If the military uses this knife then i feel sorry for that military.I recommend this knife to someone who has never had a knife before, because then anything else you buy from this point on would be an improvement.This is a solid knife. Great design, looks and feel. The serrated edge is great for cutting and a nice addition. These are full tang blades.When I got this knife, the blade was decent, but not razor sharp. It was decent and would cut but I sharpen all of my blades.... I used a sharpener to really sharpen this blade and it has a beautiful edge now. Very easy to sharpen.The chord and wrapping job isn't very good. It is OK.. but it wasn't tight and the chord slips around the handle if you're using the knife. I took all the wrapping off this knife. Underneath the wrap was thin shiny plastic like a black garbage bag which the chord slipped on also... I removed the plastic and found thin sheets of balsa wood., There is a small 2" cutout in the tang, the 1mm thin balsa wood covered it on each side. I used black hockey tape to wrap around the tang/balsa wood instead of the thin plastic I removed. The tape will protect the chord and also give better grip for the chord.I rewrapped it with smaller and better quality parachord. I wrapped it very tightly and it is amazing now. I bought 100 feet of parachord for $5 off here (Amazon).With the rewrapping job I did, this knife is awesome. I used a red wrap to really make it stand out and customize it. These are very good quality blades, full tang, sharp, flexible and easy to rewrap with custom chord colours, size and wrap pattern. I really like these knives and I have the whole set from Szco, I wish they'd make some more designs.The knife is exactly as described. The one i got was sharpened more on one side especially near the tip and the edge feels bumpy close to the grip. This can all be fixed by sharpening it yourself. I like the grip but some people might not like it. I dont like how it says "China" on the blade. The sheath is hardly functional. The tip of the knife easily pokes out the side because theres no plastic liner in it. This is definately a great buy for the priceFirst of all the shipping was quick for me, and that's amazing. The knife is solid and sharp, the knife can actually shave my legs an cut paper in a straight line. The knife is not bad for $9+ it is a decent knife. It is longer than I expected too. The only thing I didn't like was the handle because, it is small for me compared to my Bear Grylls knife handle, but the parachord is amazing. The knife is for survival, it doesn't need to be fancy. If you guys like to go camping and hunting or whatever, I recommend you guys buy this knife. If you guys know how make the handle larger, you can do it easily. I had no problem with the knife when I got it but there's a little tiny scratch but, it doesn't really matter, it still looks awesome and cool.Good knife, game pretty sharp, had to give it a nicer edge with my sharpening stone. The sheath is made poorly, first day i had the knife it ended up going in weird and cutting through it. For the price would recommend, very hard to find a decent sheath to replace the one i destroyed though.
